چکیده
The evolution of imperfect crystal from a highly amorphous structure to an ordered crystalline via sintering has demonstrated significant development onto the thermophysical properties. Therefore, series La-doped strontium titanate with different morphological properties have been synthesized high energy ball milling subsequent sintering. Doping lanthanum tends inhibit grain growth where reduction size (range 34 nm 0.47 μm) could be observed. A large amount boundaries presence fine grains, resulting doping, enhanced phonon scattering, thus yielding low heat propagation in SrTiO 3 . Besides acting as inhibitor, also acts scattering centre due imperfection created by doping. mechanisms significantly decrease mean free path. Consequently, thermal diffusivity efficiently reduced 1.1 mm 2 /s compared that pure which showed value about 3.8 /s, both observed for complete phase polycrystalline materials. systematic and can served preliminary guide engineer thermoelectric materials diffusivity. • Grain was inhibited nanometric grains. Thermoelectric Properties of Lanthanum-Doped Europium Titanate
The thermoelectric properties of lanthanum-doped polycrystalline perovskite-type europium titanate were measured from room temperature to 900K and compared to those of MTiO3 (M 1⁄4 Ca, Sr, Ba). The differences in the titanates were calculated in terms of the differences of A-site ion and Ti–O distance that determined the covalent bonding strength. The A-site ion appeared to have little influenc...
متن کاملIntrinsic Mobility Limiting Mechanisms in Lanthanum-Doped Strontium Titanate
The temperature dependent Hall mobility data from La-doped SrTiO3 thin films are analyzed and modeled considering various electron scattering mechanisms. We find that a ∼6 meV transverse optical phonon deformation potential scattering mechanism is necessary to explain the dependence of transport on temperature between 10–200 K. Also, we find that the low temperature electron mobility in intrins...
